Boys: Dobbs closes Round 1 with a victory

No. 6 Dobbs Ferry completed the first round with a 2-1 comeback victory over No. 11 Croton. Chris Bucci took a feed across the box from Domenico Lodolo with a minute left and beat his man for the winning goal. Logan Rosenberg had Dobbs’s first goal on a penalty kick. He was tripped in the box on a breakaway.

Croton took the lead in the first half on a Matt Migliorelli score. The Tigers had the better play over the first 20 minutes before Dobbs found its feet. They acquitted themselves well for a 6-10 team that wasn’t even supposed to be in the playoffs until the whole Westlake thing went down.

Dobbs travels to No. 3 Rye Neck tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.
