Boys: Monday results

A trickle of results tonight, and it’s only going to get worse the next two days with school out for the Jewish holidays.

Pearl River 2, Albertus Magnus 1, OT: At Albertus Magnus, Chris Relihan scored the game-winning goal five minutes into the overtime period. Teammate Rob Ferreira scored. Michael Lincoln scored for the Falcons.
Salesian 9, Blessed Sacrament 0:  At Blessed Sacrament, James Reyes had a hat trick. Nick Camacho made three saves. John Guiliano made four saves.
Mount Vernon 8, Roosevelt 1: At Mount Vernon, Akeeba Marshall had two goals and three assists. Jahmar Marshall also had two goals. William Andrade scored for the Indians.
White Plains 7, Saunders 0:  At White Plains, Michell Alex Lopez had a goal and three assists. Andre Young scored twice. Bryan Garcia (one save) and Celso Rodriguez combined to make one save. Ivan Escobar made eight saves.
Iona Prep 2, Regis 1: At Fordham Prep, freshman Cesar Ceja scored two goals, including the game winning goal with three minutes left. Both goals were assisted by his brother, junior Gerardo Ceja.
New Jersey School for the Deaf 3, New York School for the Deaf 2:  At New Jersey School for the Deaf, Rood Mettellus scored both for the Golden Tornado. Teammate Ryan Benson made six saves.

Jeff GoldJeff Gold reached the the soccer pinnacle when he was 7 years old. As the star of the Irvington Hurricanes, he led his team to a 13-0-2 record, scoring a goal in every game. Jeff didn't improve much and all of the others did. He only scored two goals as a varsity player, and one time, he was called Josh, so only one goal was official. Jeff worked at The Journal News for a year after graduating from Colgate University. He left for three years to work at Newsday, and returned to The Journal News in 2007. READ MORE
