We’re back … and so are the rankings

October
14

As Jake told you guys two posts down, we were having some issues with our blogs server and we apologize for this. But we’re back now and that is all that matters. So without further ado, I’m sure many of you were wondering the latest state rankings looked like.

Well, here you go. Remember, these rankings were released on Thursday so there’s going to be some games and teams missing you think should otherwise be on here. But anyway, what do you guys think?

PS: Jake, there’s no Massapequa on this list!

  1. EdgeAlum

Didn’t Edgemont beat bronxville and briarcliff? no respect?

  2. One Who Knows

Those 4 teams can fight it out while Port Chester sneaks in.

  3. One Who Knows

I think you should go over your rankings again because it seems you have left out Port Chester

I saw the state rankings and then saw the Journal News rankings published today. How is it that Valhalla-ranked 9th in class C- makes the JN rankings, but Blind Brook, ranked 5th, doesn’t make your list? The two teams played each other this past week to a 1-1 tie, with Blind Brook playing very well throughout.

  5. Soccer

how is edgemont not ranked they won 2-0 last night against bronxville and bronxville is ranked #3? and they beat briarcliff 4-2?

  6. Brett

Good reading comprehension, guys. Edgement beat Bronxville Friday night. Rod clearly said “these rankings were released on Thursday”.

  8. Soccer Mom

Briarcliff Girls have not been beaten this year by Edgemont or anyone. They are 11-0!

  9. Hi

    Why is greeley ranked?

  10. Rod Boone

    Brett,

Thanks for pointing that out to everyone. Seems like sometimes I’m just talking to myself. Lol!

  11. Greeley

Why is greeley ranked? We are just 7-3-1 and 3rd in the league. Of course we should be ranked. Even with that record I bet Greeley is still in the top 20 for state rankings when they come out on Thursday the 18th.

  12. Greeley

3rd in the league meaning my league with Jay Cross River and Lakeland ahead of us.

  13. One Who Knows

How many teams have beaten Keio?
    Port Chester DID!

  14. Lakelan

I believe that greeley shouldn’t bew ranked in the state because we just beat them and they tied John Jay Cross River who is really good.

Jeff GoldJeff Gold reached the the soccer pinnacle when he was 7 years old. As the star of the Irvington Hurricanes, he led his team to a 13-0-2 record, scoring a goal in every game. Jeff didn't improve much and all of the others did. He only scored two goals as a varsity player, and one time, he was called Josh, so only one goal was official.
