High school soccer in the Lower Hudson Valley

We’re here …

August
29

Welcome fellow soccer enthusiasts. This will be your place to gather and talk about the soccer scene around the Lower Hudson Valley and beyond. Like a team trying to defending Shaq in the low post, me and my boy Jake will be doubleteaming this blog. He’ll offer insight and perspective on the girls while I do the same on the boys.

This blog is for you—the athletes, coaches, and readers—so feel free to make your voice and thoughts heard.

  1. Fox Lane

I beilieve that Fox Lane will win the section. We have a bunch of new players, even though they might have tempers, they are all really good. They are abunch of 20 year olds from outside the country. Horace Greely, eventhought they are on top for a team to watch, they lost all of there good players. There is no one left that is half way decent. Fox Lane will win it all.

Jeff GoldJeff Gold reached the the soccer pinnacle when he was 7 years old. As the star of the Irvington Hurricanes, he led his team to a 13-0-2 record, scoring a goal in every game. Jeff didn't improve much and all of the others did. He only scored two goals as a varsity player, and one time, he was called Josh, so only one goal was official. Jeff worked at The Journal News for a year after graduating from Colgate University. He left for three years to work at Newsday, and returned to The Journal News in 2007. READ MORE
